I'm Derya. Born and raised in Istanbul. I developed my +20 years of international business career in supply chain here in Switzerland.
Traveling has always been my gateway to the soul of a place, and nothing speaks more deeply to me than the stories told through wine and culture. My passion lies in exploring destinations where history, artistry, and tradition meet in a glass of wine or a local delicacy.
And then, there’s Istanbul, a city unlike any other. Straddling two continents, it weaves together timeless elegance and dynamic modernity. Ciao! I’m Joy. It’s almost hard to believe that I didn’t board my first flight until I was 15 or that I didn't travel internationally until I was 23. But after that first international trip, I was hooked. Even while building a demanding legal career that spanned nearly 20 years, I made travel a priority, squeezing in adventures whenever and however I could, often traveling solo.
That dedication has since taken me to 78 countries across all 7 continents. Each journey has expanded my perspective, deepened my connection to the world, and taught me resilience, curiosity, and the joy of slowing down to truly experience a place and its people.
Now, having traded in billable hours in Washington, DC, for la dolce vita in Italy, I channel that passion into curating transformative journeys for others—designing experiences that go beyond the ordinary, foster authentic connections, and enrich lives through the power of travel.
